Linking Your Twitter Identity
Identity Linking
Connect your X/Twitter account to your Demos identity for cross-platform verification.
Prerequisites
- A Demos wallet with some DEM balance
- An X/Twitter account
- Access to identity.demos.sh
Steps
1. Navigate to Identity Portal
Go to identity.demos.sh and connect your Demos wallet.
2. Select Twitter/X
Click Link Identity and select Twitter/X from the platform list.
3. Post Verification Tweet
The portal will generate a unique verification message. Post this as a tweet from your account. The message contains your Demos address and a cryptographic nonce.
4. Submit Proof
Paste the URL of your verification tweet back into the portal and click Verify.
5. Confirmation
The system will verify the tweet exists, was posted by the correct account, and contains the valid nonce. Once verified, your Twitter identity is permanently linked to your Demos address.
What This Enables
- Other users and agents can look up your Demos address by your Twitter handle
- Your Twitter reputation contributes to your Demos identity score
- dApps can request Twitter verification as a trust signal
